Attendance Rules...
Attendance at Everett Christian School should be
considered a privilege more than an obligation. Missing
a day at school means more than merely missing the
lessons assigned. Students miss class discussions and
group activities that are essential to a proper
understanding of fundamental concepts. In case of
illness or other home emergencies, teachers will work
with parents to
get missed assignments sent home; however, it is the
student’s, (and their parents) responsibility to take
care of missed work.
Parents, if your child is not going to
attend school that day, please call the office before
9:30 AM to notify the administration of your child's
absence. We are obligated by the State to account
for each student's attendance, so we will be calling you
for all students not present in class unless otherwise
noted.
When you are scheduling student appointments for doctors,
please work to arrange these times after school hours or during holidays. When necessary,
students will be excused for important appointments. Please
send notification to the teacher about the appointment.
Parents who wish to take their children out of school for
reasons other than sickness or emergencies should contact
the school administration and their teacher or teachers in advance of
the absence.
Inclement Weather...
Listen to KWYZ 1230 (AM), KIRO
News Radio 710 (AM), or watch King 5 News for any cancellation
or postponement announcements. These will air beginning
at 6:30 A.M. The Administrator decides during the
school day whether classes have to be dismissed early
due to weather conditions or other emergencies.
