Student Activities

ECS has many activities which enrich the curriculum and help the students develop their particular gifts. These include: Band Concerts and Programs- students in 5th-8th grade can participate in band, which includes multiple performances.  Each year the school performs a Christmas Program that involves all the students Preschool-8th grade.  At times, a 5-8 choir is organized for special occasions. 

 

  • Chapel: All students Pre-K-8th participate in the chapel program one day each week.

  • Assemblies: Occasionally, the school has a special assembly and all grades participate.

  • Curriculum Celebrations: Held each year, all grades participate in some way to showcase their classroom work.

  • Grandparents’ Day: We invite all Grandparents and special friends to come and visit the school and spend a day with the students.

  • Pastor Appreciation Day: Students invite their pastors to this special breakfast and chapel where we honor our partners in Christian formation.

  • Service Projects: All students participate in a service project each year.  In the past, it has included planting trees, disaster relief fundraising, planting a garden, working at food bank and singing at a local retirement home.

  • Field Days: On a field day, the student body K-8 is divided into cross-grade level teams which compete in a diverse array of activities. 

 

Field Trips

Field trips are taken many times during the year by all the classes.  Past trips have included days exploring, the Woodland Park Zoo, Sarvey Wildlife Care Center, Padilla Bay Marine Sanctuary and trips to local plays and musicals in the area.  The 7th/8th grade class takes an annual overnight trip to Eastern Washington.  The 5th/6th grades also participate in a multi-day trips throughout the Puget Sound region.

Sports

The Everett Christian School Badgers compete in the Tri-County League against other local Christian schools. Students in grades 5 through 8 are given the opportunity to participate in the following sports:

  • Co-ed Soccer (Fall)

  • Girls Basketball (Winter)

  • Boys Basketball (Winter)

  • Co-ed Track & Field (Spring)
